Wheelchair users can benefit from the Accdess to Work Scheme

Access to Work (ATW) is a government scheme, based on equal opportunity and equal access for all. Access to Work provides assessments through a network of fully qualified ergonomic assessors, not employed by the government and but contracted by Access to Work.

These independent assessors make recommendations on the reasonable adjustments that need to be made to the individuals’ workstation. This can often include equipment that Keytools could fulfil.

As an Employer

Access to Work can provide a level of funding to the employer to purchase the recommended items or equipment and this can range from 80% to 100%.
If you have an employee that requires ATW you should contact your local Job Centre and ask to be referred to either the ATW Adviser or the ATW Business Centre, who will tell you more about Access to Work and how it works in your area.

Whether your employee has a physical disability, or are blind or partially sighted, Keytools can provide equipment that can help overcome any barriers they may have to using a computer.

As an Employee
In order to receive assistance from Access to Work you must be registered as disabled or need support to carry out your work.

More information can be found by following this link.

Either you or your employer can contact the ATW at your local job centre who will advise who can make assessments in you area. You will then be required to purchase any support equipment required and claim a grant from the ATW.
